Peter Augustus

Peter Augustus wanted to update its hamper packaging with a simple, modern magnetic closure box in black, white and gold, with a strong branded moment when the box is opened.

Supplied by the client: brand guidelines, logos, packaging references and the supplier’s folding-box dieline. My scope: exterior, interior and tray artwork, concept development, revisions, a 3D presentation and production files for the 420 × 280 × 150 mm box.

The approved lid pairs a black ground with the brand’s gold star, cropped at the lid edge. The wordmark stays clear beside it, giving the exterior a strong hierarchy with very few elements.

Early versions repeated small stars around the interior message. After review with John and his team the stars were removed, leaving the brand mark and “Restaurant Quality, Ready for Home” as the focus of the opening reveal. Drag to compare.

The outer wrap carries the cropped star, logo and website; inside, the central message is placed for the reveal. The tray continues the black treatment with a subtle tonal star that links it to the lid without competing with the gold message.

The handoff brought the approved design together in editable, print-ready and review formats.
